  7. This program will collect any Aminet archives on your hard disk,
  8. create Aminet directory tree and copy there those files that
  9. are Aminet archives.
  10.  
  11. Also, in case when there is no extracted #?.readme file CAF will
  12. try to extract it from archive.
  13.  
  14. Usage:
  15.  
  16. CAF <archives path> <aminet tree path> <temp path> [SIMULATE]
  17.  
  18. <archives path> - tells CAF where to look for archives
  19.  
  20. <aminet tree path> - tells CAF where to create tree of
  21. Aminet directories
  22.  
  23. <temp path> - path for temporary files, usually T:
  24.  
  25. [SIMULATE] - this will only simulate, it means that files
  26. will be only copied and not deleted
  27.  
  28. Example:

  30. CAF dh2:downloaded_stuff dh2:my_aminet_cd t:
  31.  
  32. This will scan path "dh2:downloaded_stuff" and all Aminet
  33. directories will be copied to their original directories
  34. in "dh2:my_aminet_cd", temporary files will be "t:".
  35.  
  36. So an archive from "dev/misc" found in "dh2:downloaded_stuff"
  37. will be moved to "dh2:my_aminet_cd/dev/misc"
  38.  
  39. There are three conditions that must be fulfilled:
  40.  
  41. - a file must be an archive
  42. - an archive must have a #?.readme file, whether in archive
  43. or outside of it
  44. - a #?.readme file must contain string "Type:"
  45.  
  46. I have enclosed program's source, since it is under GNU license
  47. you can do almost anything with it...read COPYING file for more
  48. informations.
